Cowboys Hold Off Giants In Spectacular Fashion

While Odell Beckham Jr. had one of the most impressive touchdown catches in recent memory during the New York Giants' game against the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday night, his effort was not good enough as the Cowboys won the game 31-28.

Beckham's impressive catch where he used the tips of his fingers to barely catch the ball while in bounds for a touchdown was the second touchdown reception that he had in the game. He had one in the first with his highlight reel catch coming at the start of the second through a 43-yard pass from Eli Manning.

Beckham's effort gave the Giants a 14-3 lead at the start of the quarter but the Cowboys came back with a touchdown pass to Jason Witten on the next possession. This was matched by a Giants touchdown run from Andre Williams. The Giants' Jason Pierre-Paul also recovered a Cowboys fumble late in the half.

The Cowboys took a 24-21 at the end of the third. Tony Romo had long touchdown passes to Cole Beasley and Dez Bryant but the biggest moment came when Eli Manning threw an interception just a few yards from the end zone. Barry Church returned it to the midway point of the field.

The Giants took the lead as Manning had a short touchdown pass to Adrien Robinson. The Giants got five first downs on that 93-yard drive. However, the Cowboys went 80 yards in about two minutes which led to a touchdown pass to Bryant. The Giants' last possession was a four-and-out.

The 8-3 Cowboys are tied with Philadelphia for the NFC East lead while the Giants fell to 3-8. DeMarco Murray had 121 rushing yards but was held out of the end zone by the Giants defense. Tony Romo went 18-26 for 275 passing yards.

Eli Manning was 29-40 for the Giants with 338 yards. Odell Beckham Jr. had 146 receiving yards during the game to go with his two touchdowns. The Giants were also 11-16 on third downs during the entire game. In addition, the Giants were listed at +4.5 and barely beat that spread.
