WNBA Odds - 2010 WNBA Preseason Set to Begin
WNBA odds players will have additional preseason WNBA sports betting action available on Sunday, May 2 and then Tuesday, May 4 through Thursday, May 6. Neither the Chicago Sky or the Minnesota Lynx had much success with the WNBA odds last year as both clubs operated in the red.
Minnesota was 14-20 straight up and 15-18-1 against the spread while Chicago was 16-18 straight up and 13-20 against the spread. Chicago has never had a winning season since their inception in 2006.
They were led last year by Candice Dupree, who averaged almost 16 points per game. Minnesota last had a winning season in 2004. They were led last year by Nicky Anosike’s 13 points per game.
The defending champion Phoenix Mercury will take on the WNBA odds with a game on Sunday, May 2 at Seattle. Phoenix was a highly profitable 23-11 against the spread last year and was led by Diana Taurasi who averaged 20.4 points per game.
Seattle was a playoff team last year but went just 15-17-1 against the spread. Laruen Jackson led them with 19.2 points per game.
The Atlanta Dream will be posted on the WNBA lines Tuesday, May 4 for a matchup against the Connecticut Sun. Connecticut has been one of the better WNBA franchises since their inception in 2003 but was just 16-18 straight up last year.
Atlanta improved to 18-16 straight up last year after going 4-30 as an expansion team in 2008. Atlanta was highly profitable with the WNBA odds last year as they went 20-12-1 against the spread. The Dream was led by Iziane Castro Marques, who averaged 14 points per game.
On Wednesday, May 5 the WNBA odds board will feature The New York Liberty at the Washington Mystics. Washington was led last year by Alana Beard, who averaged 15.9 points per game. New York has had three losing seasons in the last four years and went 13-21 straight up last year to finish in last place in the Eastern Conference.
WNBA odds action will continue on Thursday, May 6 with Minnesota at Chicago in a rematch.
