UFC betting anticipation is building at a rapid rate for this championship bout between two Brazilian fighters that will certainly draw plenty of UFC online betting action.

Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort headline the UFC 126 card for February 5 with the action taking place at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.  Fight time is set for 11:59 PM ET and Sports Gambling opened with Silva as a -280 favorite with Belfort as a +210 dog.  The action can be seen on pay per view.

Anderson “The Spider” Silva has a record of 26-4 and is 6-2 185 pounds.  Silva is known as one of the best balanced fighters in the series with exceptional striking ability.

Vitor “Phenom” Belfort is 6-0 and 185 pounds.  Belfort is well respected for his hand speed and submission ability.

Silva is riding a 13 bout winning streak into this matchup with the UFC126 betting odds.  He won the middleweight championship on October 14, 2006 when he defeated Rich Franklin and has never looked back.  He has also successfully fought in the light heavyweight division since winning the middleweight championship.

Silva last fought on August 7, 2010 at UFC 117 as he scored a submission through triangle armbar win over Chael Sonnen at Oakland, California at the 3:10 mark of the 5th round.  With that win, which won fight of the night honors, Silva extended his record for most consecutive title defenses to 7.

Silva enters action with the UFC 126 odds with bad reputation for substance use issues, however, including in that last bout against Sonnen when he tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone after the fight.

Belfort has won his last 5 bouts and is coming off a knockout win over Rich Franklin on September 19, 2009 at the 3:02 mark of the first round at UFC 103 in Dallas, Texas.  He has also had his share of UFC betting controversy when he tested positive for a banned substance on October 21, 2006.

He was also getting testosterone injections from a doctor to treat an injury that was revealed to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.  Belfort has also taken part in professional boxing.
