UFC 128 Betting Preview

Jones vs. Rua
The headliner at UFC 128 betting is the Light Heavyweight title bout between Jones and Rua.  Jones is almost a 2-1 favorite at the online bookmaker in this fight against Rua.  Jones is definitely the showman and has a lot of talent but whether he can handle Rua is the question. Rua is the champ and he will be defending his title for the first time.

It is unusual to see a champ an underdog but Jones is considered an up and coming star in the UFC.  Jones has not shown any weaknesses so far in his career but if he has any Rua will find them.

Urijah Faber vs. Eddie Wineland
This will be the UFC debut for Faber as he takes on Wineland. The winner of this bout will likely get a title shot against Dominick Cruz. Faber is a huge favorite in this fight but Wineland at least has a chance to land a big shot and get the upset.

Jim Miller vs. Kamal Shalorus
Miller will try and extend his winning streak to seven straight matches as he faces Shalorus.  Miller is more than a 2-1 favorite against Shalorus.

Nate Marquardt vs. Dan Miller
This is a chance for Marquardt to get back on track for a title shot but it is not an automatic win against Miller.  Marquardt is the 3-1 favorite at the bookmaker but Miller does have the advantage if this fight goes to the ground.

Mirko Filipovic vs. Brendan Schaub
For some reason the UFC put this bout on the main card but Schaub is really the only one that belongs as Filipovic has seen his best days. Schaub is more than a 2-1 favorite at SBG in this fight.
