UFC 127 Odds - Rivera Down for “The Count?”

UFC 127 odds handicappers have seen Rivera make fun of Bisping and try and goad him into rage while Bisping has seethed at the mockery of his style heading into this UFC betting matchup.

Michael Bisping will take on Jorge Rivera on Saturday at UFC 127 from Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia with a fight time set for 3 PM ET.

Sports Gambling opened with Bisping as a -360 favorite and Rivera as a +260 dog but you would never know that Rivera was such a big UFC betting line underdog after his antics of the past two weeks in which he has basically mocked Bisping and his fighting style.

On October 16 at UFC 120 he scored a unanimous decision win over Yoshihiro Akiyama and on May 29 at UFC 114 he scored a unanimous decision win over Dan Miler.  Before those two wins Bisping lost a unanimous decision bout against Wanderlei Silva at UFC 110 on February 10, 2010.

Bisping has not exactly been shy about voicing his own opinions about Rivera as be said that his opponent, while not to be underestimated, is not in his class.

Bisping is 31 years of age compared to Rivera’s 38 years of age and is still considered by most handicappers with the UFC 127 betting odds to be an up and coming fighter, potential champion, and superior fighter in this matchup.  Bisping was once light heavyweight champion in Cage Rage for 2004 and built upon that success for his UFC career run at the title belt.

But Rivera does bring the intangible of being fearless of Bisping and many handicappers know that he will not shortchange his backers as far as effort and giving this fight everything that he has.
