UFC 126 betting fans will have their choice of two highly regarded Brazilian fighters that have sustained records of success and a highly popular champion in Silva with UFC online betting fans.
Anderson Silva will defend his middleweight championship against Vitor Belfort at UFC 126 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday with a starting time of 11:59 PM ET and a telecast on pay per view. Sports Gambling opened with UFC126 odds of Silva as a -280 favorite and Belfort as a +210 dog.
Belfort made recent headlines due to his split with trainer Shaw Tompkins, who fell out with the Xtreme Couture organization of which he was a part. There were some heated comments that were made earlier about the breakup but Belfort was more diplomatic recently as he tried to downplay the controversy and also tried to reassure fans and gamblers that the split has not affected his training in any way.
Belfort has also made recent headlines about training with boxing legend Mike Tyson but Tompkins downplayed the actual meaning of the meetings between the mixed martial arts contender and former heavyweight boxing champion.
Tompkins was also highly critical of Belfort as he implied that the challenger in this bout is the type that goes on kicks and whims and is not a steady and persistent personality.
Belfort tweeted earlier that Tompkins was making the issue of the breakup too personal and that the trainer was not being honest about the circumstances regarding the split heading into the matchup against Silva with the UFC 126 betting line.
Belfort claimed that Tompkins wanted to do things his own way too much and that it was inevitable that the trainer would split with the Xtreme Couture organization. Belfort believed that there was no unity of purpose or approach and that it was strictly a business decision.
Belfort has prepared for this UFC 126 betting matchup against Silva by working with Ray Sefo, a Strikeforce heavyweight as well as his cousin Pedro Frapiuna, and Xtreme Couture staff member Neil Melanson. Diet expert Mike Dolce has been his chief nutrition guide.
