UFC 124 odds handicappers will see a legendary Canadian hero try and extend his title belt defense winning streak to 5 in this UFC 124 betting championship bout.

St-Pierre opened as a strong -450 favorite at Sports-Gambling to defend his welterweight championship while Koscheck was a +325 long shot.  The bout is scheduled to begin at 11 PM and can be seen on pay-per-view.

St-Pierre will have plenty of fan support as a native of Quebec that trains out of Montreal.  Koscheck is an American that quickly climbed to number one contender status after his win over Paul Daley with the UFC gambling odds on May 8 at UFC 113.  Koscheck has a career record of 15-4 and has won his last 3 bouts.  He is fighting out of Fresno, CA.

St-Pierre has a career record of 20-2 and is riding a 7 bout winning streak heading into this matchup.  St-Pierre is a two time welterweight champion and has held the title for the second time since December 29, 2007 when he scored a technical submission win over Matt Hughes for the Interim welterweight championship.

He then went on to win the welterweight title belt outright with a TKO in the 2nd round against Matt Serra on April 19, 2008 at UFC 83.

St-Pierre’s first title defense was against Jon Fitch at UFC 87 on August 9, 2008 as he scored a unanimous decision with the UFC lines.  He next scored a technical knockout over BJ Penn at UFC 94 on January 31, 2009.

That was followed with a unanimous decision win over Thiago Alves at UFC 100 on July 11, 2009.  His last bout was another unanimous decision win over Dan Hardy at UFC 111 on March 27, 2010.

This bout is a rematch from August 25, 2007 as St-Pierre scored a unanimous decision win over Koscheck at UFC 74.  The victory put St-Pierre back into number one contender status and on his way to the title.

Of his 20 wins St-Pierre has scored 8 by knockout, 5 by submission, and 7 by decision.  He has only been knocked out once.
