UFC 118 odds handicappers will also have two preliminary bouts to look over that will be broadcast on Spike TV. This UFC betting event will be held in Boston.
The Edgar vs. Penn matchup should be an outstanding and intense battle as Edgar took the title belt from Penn last April at UFC 112. Frankie “The Answer” Edgar has a career record of 12-1 while BJ “The Prodigy” Penn is 15-6-1.
In the Heavyweight class Randy “The Natural” Couture will take on James “Lights Out” Toney. Couture has a record of 18-10 while Toney will be making his UFC debut.
The Middleweight division will feature Nate “The Great” Marquardt going up against Rousimar “Toquinto” Palhares. Marquardt is 32-9-2 while Palhares has a record of 20-2.
In another Lightweight bout Kenny “KenFlo” Florian will take on Gray “The Bully” Maynard. Florian has a record of 15-4 while Maynard has never lost in 10 bouts.
There will also be a Welterweight bout on the main card with Nate Diaz going up against Marcus “The Irish Hand Grenade” Davis. Diaz has a career mark of 12-5 while Davis is 22-7.
On the preliminary card there will be the Middleweight bout between Jorge “El Conquistador” Rivera and Alessio “Legionarius” Sakara. Rivera has a
UFC gambling record of 18-7 while Sakara is 19-7.
In Lightweight action on Spike TV Joe “J-Lau” Lauzon will matchup with Terry Etim. Lauzon has a record of 17-5 while Etim is 14-4.
Florian is one of the bigger names in mixed martial arts and is training hard for his fight. He is working on improving his wrestling technique and is in a camp that includes famed Canadian wrestlers and UFC legend Georges St. Pierre.
Florian’s goal is to meet the winner of the Penn vs. Edgar bout for a shot at the title. Florian will enter action with the UFC 118 odds having won his last two bouts in a row. Maynard will not make it easy, however, as he has never lost and is the only man to hand Edgar a loss.
Maynard last fought on January 11 at UFC Fight Night 20 and scored a split decision win over Nate Diaz while Florian is coming off a submission win over Takanori Gomi on March 31.
