UFC 190 won't be taking place until August 1 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. However, a few big fights have already been prepared for the event. Added events are expected to come along but these three fights are the first ones that will be coming along. These fights include one major fight featuring a prominent figure in the UFC circle.
Rousey vs. Correia
The top fight will be between Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia for the Women's Bantamweight title. Rousey has won all eleven of her bouts and has particularly been noteworthy for having run through her opponents in very little time. Her last three wins all took place in less than two minutes combined.
Bethe Correia has won all nine of her fights and has two knockouts. The native from Brazil has been noted for being a grappling and boxing-style fighter and could potentially give Rousey a bit of a challenge.
Rua vs. Nogueira
Two Brazilian stars will face off in a light heavyweight battle. Mauricio Rua will be taking on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in this match. Rua is a former light heavyweight champion who has fallen to a 22-10 record in recent time while Nogueira has a 21-6 record and has not been active since last July when he lost in one minute to Anthony Johnson.
Struve vs. Nogueira
Stefan Struve will fight Minotauro Nogueira in a heavyweight fight during UFC 190. Struve is 25-7 and has lost his last two bouts. He fights with a kickboxing style and has won sixteen bouts by submission. Nogueira is 34-9-1 and has a stronger grappling game without being too reliant on making strikes throughout his matches.
The competition that will go on between the many fighters who will meet at UFC 190 is already going to be exciting but there will be many additional fighters who will be coming along over time. These added fighters will make for a more interesting event with plenty of big stars coming along to show who the best competitors in the world are.
