A Hypothetical Rousey-Justino Line Is Out

Ronda Rousey has been the most talked-about name in the world of mixed martial arts. Rousey has been a consistent threat and has finished all but one of her opponents in the first round. There’s a hypothetical line out in many sportsbooks right now stating that she could face off against a newcomer in the UFC field.

Specifically, Rousey could possibly fight Cristiane Justino. There’s a line out now stating that if the two face each other, Rousey would be the -350 favorite while Justino would be listed at +265 in the UFC gambling odds.

Who Is Justino?

Cristiane Justino just recently signed up to be a part of the UFC. She has an extensive amount of experience in the Invicta Fighting Championships and Strikeforce MMA circuits.

Justino has a 14-1 record with one no decision and twelve knockouts with her only loss coming from her very first professional fight in 2005. She has fought twice in 2015 and won both of those fights by knockout. The last one was a knockout over Faith Van Duin in July. It took 45 seconds for Justino to win that fight.

Real Concerns

There are a few concerns for Justino’s betting line. First, while she did have the Strikeforce women’s featherweight title, she had it removed in 2011 after testing positive for an anabolic steroid called stanozolol. She was suspended for a year and one of her victories was changed to a no decision.

Also, she took 2014 off from MMA fighting to focus on kickboxing. She lost a Lion Fight Muay Thai match to Jorina Baars during that year.

In addition, Justino weighs about 145 pounds. She will have to drop down to 135 pounds in order to possibly face Rousey in the bantamweight line; the UFC does not have a featherweight class like what Invicta FC has.

The possibility for Ronda Rousey and Cristiane Justino to fight in the future is real. While Rousey is clearly going to be the favorite regardless of who she fights, Justino is still an amazingly talented figure that could give her a run for the money.
