Sports gambling expectations are always high for Brazil as they have five World Cup titles which makes them the online sports gambling chalk almost anytime that they play.
Brazil is once again a World Cup betting favorite this year and one of the big reasons why is Kaka, who has been one of the most important players on the team since 2002.
Kaka has a total of 26 goals in 76 caps to rank 14th on the all time list for Brazilian players on the national team that is loaded with legendary names such as Pele and Ronaldo.
There has been considerable sports gambling concern about the availability and health of Kaka heading into the 2010 World Cup as he has been practicing separate from the rest of the team due to a left thigh muscle injury. Kaka looks to be ready, however, as he joined the team in workouts last week and showed no signs of injury.
Kaka has also had a groin injury issue that kept him on the bench for much of the season with Real Madrid. His lack of playing time was a cause for concern with those handicapping the World Cup odds.
Brazil coach Dunga has said, however, that Kaka will be ready for sports gambling action in the World Cup which begins June 11 in South Africa.
“Kaka himself knows what he can do and he will feel when he is fully ready,” said Dunga.
One of the reasons that Kaka is needed for Brazil is that they are missing stars such as Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, and Adriano. Brazil is struggling to get the group in sync as Dunga admits the lack of playing time is a challenge to overcome, even for a favored team such as his.
“We have to gain a group aspect again,” said Dunga. “It’s been a long time since we played together, so there are many details that we have to adjust before the World Cup begins.”
Brazil will again be one of the favorite teams for gamblers to make a World Cup football bet with as they are loaded with talent and with a tradition of excellence.
