Sports gambling fans saw Temple go 9-4 straight up and 8-4 with the sportsbetting board en route to a bowl game for the first time in a generation. Temple will be expecting even bigger sports gambling success in the future as they finished the 2010 sportsbetting recruiting season with the best online sports gambling class in the MAC.
Another team that will be looking to take the Mid American Conference title will be the Toledo Rockets, who finished right behind Temple in the MAC sports gambling rankings with the second rated recruit class.
Toledo finished with a sports gambling record of 5-7 straight up but had a big win over Colorado last year and that attracted a lot of attention with recruits. Kent State has not had a lot of sports gambling success in the MAC but hauled in the third ranked recruiting class in the league for 2010.
The Ohio Bobcats made it to the MAC title game for the second time in four sports gambling seasons but that did not turn into a major selling point for recruits as they finished next to last in the MAC recruiting class rankings.
Central Michigan, who finished 12-2 straight up and 9-3-1 against the spread and with the MAC title ended up with the 10th ranked sports gambling class in the league for National Signing Day. Much of that could be attributed to losing their coach to Cincinnati in late December of 2009.
Northern Illinois has been one of the more consistent sports gambling commodities in the MAC and that should continue into the foreseeable future as the Huskies finished with the fourth ranked recruiting class in the MAC. Last year NIU finished 7-6 straight up and 6-7 against the spread as they lost the International Bowl to South Florida.
Western Michigan may be a team on the rebound for 2010 as they were right behind Northern Illinois in the class rankings and have a high octane offense that can keep them in any game that they play.
