On Line Sports Gambling - Germany Ready for Epic Matchup

On line sports gambling handicappers and soccer fans are eagerly anticipating Saturday’s matchup with the World Cup betting line between Germany and Argentina.

On line sports gambling expectations were mixed for Germany as they were considered to be young and rebuilding but their tradition of excellence has been maintained.

Germany was the winner of Group D and made a strong statement in their group stage opener with a 4-0 win over Australia.  That was followed up with a 0-1 upset loss to Serbia.

In the group stage finale the Germans scored a 1-0 win over Ghana to clinch the group.  In their bitter long time rivalry matchup with England in the knockout stage of 16, Germany was dominant and clearly the better team as proven with their 4-1 win.

Germany will enter Saturday’s showdown with Argentina with plenty of respect for their opponent.  Striker Miroslav Klose has been effusive in his praise for Argentina.

“We shouldn’t compare Argentina with England,” said Klose.  “Argentina are in another league.”

“The key factor is presenting yourself as a team, as a unit, and I didn’t really think this was the case with England,” Klose continued.

Germany defeated Argentina on penalties in the 2006 World Cup in a highly contested and heated affair in which punches were thrown.

Germany has downplayed the revenge and rivalry factor with Argentina.

“We have heard all these comments that Argentina are dying to beat us and see this as a revenge match,” said Klose.  “But this team should be able to hold their own against Argentina.”

Klose has 50 career goals for Germany and will enter his 100th cap on Saturday.

“If you look at the names on a case by case basis Argentina should be seen as stronger on paper,” said Klose.  “It was the same with England, on paper they were renowned and famous, but it didn’t happen on the pitch.  Germany are a ‘tournament team.’”

Germany has gotten plenty of on line sports gambling production up front as Thomas Muller has 3 goals, Lukas Podolski 2, and Klose has 2 as well.  Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has been polished and in command so far.

One factor that is of concern to Germany is that Argentine superstar Lionel Messi is yet to score a goal in the World Cup.  Considered by most to be the world’s best player, Messi is likened to a ticking time bomb that is due to explode soon.

German midfielder Sami Khedira said that Germany will have to put several players on Messi.  He also added that, “we have nothing to fear and we have a good chance of beating Argentina.”
