On Line Sports Gambling - Brazil Advances With Ease

On line sports gambling handicappers had pegged traditional power Brazil as one of the top choices with the World Cup betting line to make the Final on July 11.

On line sports gambling expectations have been met so far as Brazil has been dominant in their first two Group G matches with wins over North Korea and the Ivory Coast.

Brazil defeated North Korea in their opener 2-1 and then turned it up a notch with a 3-1 blowout win over the Ivory Coast.  Luis Fabiano scored two goals in the win over the Ivory Coast while Elano also tallied a goal.  It was a breakout game for Fabiano who was scoreless in five previous matches for Brazil.

Fabiano may have gotten away with something on his second goal against the Ivory Coast as it was clear that he handled the ball twice before scoring.

“It’s true, the ball really touched my hand and then my shoulder,” said Fabiano.  “But it was involuntary.  It was one of the greatest goals I’ve scored in my career.”

For his stellar performance Fabiano was named Man of the Match.

Ivory Coast coach Sven-Goran Eriksson was adamant that the goal shouldn’t have counted and completely changed the game as it put his team in a 2-0 hole that they could not dig out of.  Eriksson did say that he thinks Brazil can go all the way and that a team must play a near perfect game to defeat them.

The on line sports gambling match between Brazil and the Ivory Coast bordered on violent with plenty of fouls.  Brazil star Kaka will be suspended for their next match against Portugal on June 25 due to a pair of yellow cards.

Fabiano rewarded the faith placed in him by Brazil coach Dunga, who stuck with him through the striker’s scoring slump.

“Luis Fabiano had a great performance,” said Dunga.  “I placed a lot of trust in him, as did all his teammates.  Of course he hadn’t scored a goal in the last five matches.  He’s always responded in a very positive way and obviously if a forward doesn’t score for a while he becomes impatient.”

The win guaranteed that Brazil would move to the round of 16 and out of the Group Stage as expected.
