On Line Sports Gambling - Argentina Set for Saturday

On line sports gambling anticipation is growing at an all time fever pitch for what looks to be an epic matchup with the World Cup betting line between Argentina and Germany.

On line sports gambling handicappers will have their choice of two of the best teams in the world that are rich with history and tradition along with high expectations.

Many soccer fans and gamblers will recall the 1986 World Cup in which Argentina defeated Germany in the final to win the championship as Argentina’s Diego Maradona went down in history as one of the greatest players of all time and achieved worldwide recognition in the process.

Maradona is again casting a huge shadow over the World Cup as Argentina’s coach.

Maradona’s coaching record so far is as great as his playing career as he has led Argentina to 4 wins in 4 games and the top spot in Group B.  Argentina opened the group stage with a 1-0 win over Nigeria. That was followed up with a 4-1 win over South Korea.

In the group stage finale Argentina scored a 2-0 win over Greece to make the knockout round of 16.  Argentina advanced to the Elite Eight with a 3-1 win over Mexico in which they were dominant.

Maradona is confident heading into Saturday’s on line sports gambling matchup with Germany.

“We will take stock of our situation, then we will try and put together the best team to showcase our talents against Germany,” said the legendary coach.

“It will be the team to give us the guarantee to overcome Germany.   We know Germany are a very different team to the side we faced in Mexico.  They are stronger, but we will field the right players to beat them.”

The Germans are highly concerned about Argentina’s Lionel Messi, who is considered by many to be the best player in the world.

German midfielder Sami Khedira said of Messi, “You can’t shut him down for the entire match and you have to try to contain him with a collective effort.”

So far Messi has been shutout in World Cup action as Gonzalo Higuain leads Argentina with 4 goals while Carlos Tevez has scored twice.

German defender Adrne Friedrich is excited to take the pitch against Maradona, who he called the greatest footballer ever, and said that it would be extra special to defeat him and Argentina.
