Online Sports Gambling on National League

Online sports gambling on the National League has been incredibly up and down so far this 2009 sports gambling season.

Online sports gambling in the NL east has been a particularly strong sports gambling challenge as the Mets, Marlins and Phillies were in a real fight.  The Philadelphia Phillies earned considerable online sports gambling respect last year with their World Series title, which was one of the biggest sports gambling surprises in a long time.

The Phillies were a little above .500 to start the online sports gambling season but seem well positioned to make another run at the National League pennant.  The Florida Marlins bolted out of the gate to be one of the surprise teams at the start of the online sports gambling campaign.

But Florida then followed that up with a two week slump in which the lost almost every game.  The Marlins since have been on a bit more of an even keel but they remain one of the most inconsistent teams in all of online sports gambling.  Speaking of inconsistent and unpredictable, how about the New York Mets!

The Mets got off to a terrible start to the online sports gambling campaign but rallied to take first place in the NL east.  Much like the Marlins the Mets are one of the streakiest commodities on the online sports gambling boards.  This should make for one of the great races in all of baseball this year.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been an online sports gambling powerhouse as they dominated play in the NL west for the first month plus of action.  The Dodgers won their first 13 home games to set a record and were clearly the most profitable team on the board.

The big question, however, is how LA will handle the loss of Many Ramirez, who has been suspended until July for a substance issue.  The NL central has also had plenty of surprises starting with the first place St. Louis Cardinals, who were not considered to be a contender in 2009.

Milwaukee overcame a slow start to be right on the Redbirds’ heels.  Cincinnati was another surprise in third, and the Cubs were a negative surprise at fourth.
