Online Sports Gambling - Galaxy Sets Early MLS Pace

Online sports gambling anticipation continues to grow with the start of the US Major League Soccer season as handicappers have a large field of contenders to look at.

Online sports gambling fans have seen the Los Angeles Galaxy bolt quickly out of the gate with a fine start to the sports gambling season after 4 consecutive losing years. Los Angeles was victorious in their first two MLS online sports gambling matchups for 2010 as they won back-to-back home games over New England by a score of 1-0 and then Chivas USA by a score of 2-0.

Last year was a disappointing regular season for Los Angeles as they finished with a record of 12-12-6.  Los Angeles did surprise everyone gambling in sports with the MLS Cup Playoffs last year as they ended up in the title game where they lost to Real Salt Lake 5-4.

Edson Buddle led Los Angeles with all 3 of their team goals to begin the season after scoring goals in 17 games last year.  Last year’s leading scorer, Landon Donovan, had 2 assists to begin 2010.  He scored 12 goals and 6 assists last year.

Defending MLS champion Real Salt Lake split their opening two online sports gambling matchups for 2010 as they won at San Jose 3-0 before losing at Houston 2-1.  Javier Morales scored 2 goals to begin the season.  Robbie Findlay, who was Salt Lake’s top scorer last year with 12 goals and 6 assists, was shutout in the first two games.

The Houston Dynamo, who made the semi finals last year, began the 2010 MLS online sports gambling season with a record of 1 win and 1 draw.  The Dynamo tied FC Dallas 1-1 on the road in their opener and then scored a 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake at home.

Pat Onstad, who was one of the top MLS goalkeepers last year, played well in those opening two online sports gambling matchups.

FC Dallas may be an online sports gambling commodity to keep an eye on as they have last year’s MLS Golden Boot winner Jeff Cunningham, who had 17 goals and 8 assists last year.
