Online Sports Gambling - Big East Beasts of Hoops

Online sports gambling handicappers have come to regard the Big East as at least the sports gambling online equal of the ACC in college basketball.

Online sports gambling fans will even argue that the Big East is better and the true sports gambling online beast that rules all others when it comes to college hoops. For the 2009-10 online sports gambling season the Big East again looks to rule college hoops and be among the elite sports gambling online conferences to handicap.

And a good place to start among the elite of the elite with the Big East sports gambling odds are the Villanova Wildcats.  Head coach Jay Wright has had this program on the online sports gambling ascendancy for the past few seasons and has now built a legitimate Final Four/national title contender.

Last year the Wildcats had an online sports gambling record of 30-8 straight up and 19-15 against the spread.  Nova started out the 2009-10 online sports gambling season 9-1 straight up and 6-3 against the spread.

Syracuse has long been an elite online sports gambling commodity in college basketball and one of the most popular teams on the board.  The Orange look to be something special for the 2009-10 online sports gambling season as they bolted out of the gate with a 10-0 straight up record while covering the spread in 6 out of their first 7 lined games.

A team that is often under the Big East online sports gambling radar screen is South Florida but that might not be for much longer as the Bulls began the season with a record of 8-2 straight up and 6-3 against the spread.  The fact that South Florida receives so little attention from the masses often helps keep them an outstanding board value.

One team that likely gets too much attention from the masses is Pitt as the Panthers have been a perennial post season contender over the years with a strong physical presence.  Pitt began this season 8-2 straight up but got the money in just 3 out of their first 9 lined games.

This is in large part due to their being a “public” team that attracts a lot of cash from the masses.

The Big East will be wide open again for this season and gamblers would be well advised to be selective and to not settle for less than top value as there will be countless opportunities for success this year with a league that has 16 teams, and most of them top contenders.
