Online Sports Gambling - Atlanta Back in Contention

Online sports gambling excitement and anticipation have returned with the Atlanta Braves and their internet sports gambling prospects for the 2010 season.

Online sports gambling expectations are again high on the Braves who were known throughout internet sports gambling as the “Team of the Decade” for the 1990’s. Atlanta had a stellar online sports gambling reputation for regular season excellence and fine pitching in those glory years and the Braves once again seem to be on their way to success and sports book gambling profits with a similar formula.

Atlanta finished the 2009 online sports gambling season with a record of 86-76 and a third place finish in the National League East Division. They enter the 2010 season as one of the online sports gambling favorites to contend for a post season playoff berth.

Number one starting pitcher Tommy Hanson leads a deep pitching staff.  The Right hander is coming off a strong rookie season in which he went 11-4 with a 2.89 earned run average.

Right hander Jair Jurrjens is a solid number two starter.  Jurrjens had an online sports gambling mark of 14-10 last year with a stellar 2.60 earned run average.

Tim Hudson returns to the rotation as the number three starter after just 7 online sports gambling starts in 2009.  His career earned run average of 3.49 has everyone hoping that he can keep Atlanta’s rotation in top shape.  The closer spot is a question mark as Billy Wagner is slated to fill the bill after missing most of last season.

In 2008 he saved 27 games for the Mets and has a career earned run average of 2.39 with 385 saves in 432 chances.  Veteran third baseman Chipper Jones will be back for his 16th season as a starter for the Braves and as a franchise cornerstone.  Jones hit .264 last year with 18 home runs and 71 runs batted in.

Jones suffered a full 100 point drop in batting average from 2008 and it is hoped that he will be able to close that gap significantly this year.  If he does the Braves may be back in the playoffs!
