On Line Sports Gambling - Tigers Looking to Climb Back on Top

On line sports gambling saw a dramatic finish to the American League Central division race as it took an extra 163rd matchup to settle it.

On line sports gambling fans saw the Detroit Tigers, who seemingly had the AL Central title in hand; blow it in a remarkable sportsgambling collapse down the stretch. Detroit was edged out by the Minnesota Twins and now enters the 2010 on line sports gambling season with a potentially fragile psyche but also with the ability to win the division this year and get back into the post season.

Detroit was the American League Champion for the 2006 on line sports gambling season.  The Tigers finished the 2009 on line sports gambling season with a record of 86-77.  First baseman Miguel Cabrera was the sparkplug of the offense as he hit .324 with 34 home runs and 103 runs batted in.

It was Cabrera’s fifth on line sports gambling season out of the last six in which he hit at least 30 home runs.  Right fielder Magglio Ordonez also was a top contributor during the 2009 on line sports gambling season.  Ordonez hit .310 and had 54 runs scored along with 50 runs batted in with 24 doubles and 9 home runs.

Justin Verlander is the top pitcher in the rotation and was 19-9 last year with a 3.45 earned run average.  Verlander had an impressive total of 269 strikeouts in 240 innings of work.  Rick Porcello is another key starter.  Last year he went 14-9 with a 3.96 earned run average for an impressive rookie season.

A key pick up in the off-season was closer Jose Valverde who arrives from the Houston Astros where last year he went 4-2 with a 2.33 earned run average and had 25 saves in 29 chances.  He had 44 saves in 2008 and 47 saves in 2007.

Valverde is a power pitcher that has 470 career strike outs in 386 innings of work and 167 career saves out of 194 chances with a career ERA of 3.17.
