Internet Sports Gambling - Yankees Look to Repeat in 2010

Internet sports gambling has long revolved around the New York Yankees when it comes to baseball online sports gambling and it will be no different in 2010.

Internet sports gambling saw the Bronx Bombers take the 2009 World Series title and re-emerge as the premier baseball franchise in all of online sports gambling. Expectations, if not outright demands for more, are sky high as the Yankees began Spring Training for the 2010 internet sports gambling season at Tampa, FL.

Incredibly enough last year’s World Series title was the first in nine online sports gambling seasons for the Yankees, which was something of a sports gambling hurdle that lurked as a constant irritant to the franchise.

It was also a strong internet sports gambling comeback for New York after they missed the playoffs in 2008 while saying farewell to old Yankee Stadium.  The Yankees enter the internet sports gambling spring training season with their share of question marks to resolve starting with the fifth starter in their pitching rotation.

The internet sports gambling question is between Joba Chamberlain and Phil Hughes and will be settled in the exhibition games.  While Chamberlain is considered the internet sports gambling favorite to win the job Hughes had a far better earned run average last year.

The big internet sports gambling concern for Hughes, however, is his lack of innings pitched.  Chamberlain is considered the more durable internet sports gambling commodity, at least at this point.

Left field is yet another spot and question that must be resolved during spring training as Johnny Damon has not re-signed and is looking elsewhere to play for 2010.  Brett Gardner and Randy Winn are the top candidates to replace Damon in left.

Closer Mariano Rivera is coming off a stellar 2009 season in which he saved 44 games in 46 opportunities with a 1.76 earned run average.  Concerns loom, however, as he is 39 years old and has had the job since 1997.

Alex Rodriguez finally killed off the post season demons he has carried last year but questions will remain about his performance enhancing drug use.  Mr Yankee, Derek Jeter, may be a distraction as he is entering the final season of his 10-year $189 million deal.
