Gambling on sports will have a new feel for the Kansas City Chiefs as they will have a totally new online gambling look for this upcoming season.

Gambling on sports will have a new feel for the Kansas City Chiefs as they will have a totally new online gambling look for this upcoming season.  Gambling on sports fans may have to pitch their notebooks and charts on the Chiefs, who have made sweeping changes that will seriously effect their online gambling prospects.

The biggest change to consider with the Chiefs for those gambling on sports is at the top of the front office as long time dictator Carl Peterson was finally sent packing.

While Peterson was responsible for the Chiefs’ resurgence in his first ten years on the job, Kansas City was an inconsistent online gambling commodity in his final ten years and was one of the worst teams for those gambling on sports last year.

Kansas City finished just 2-14 straight up last year, making them one of the least appealing teams for those gambling on sports with the NFL.  The Chiefs had little to offer those gambling on sports as they ranked 24th on offense and a disgraceful 31st on defense.

It was the implosion of last season that cost Peterson his job as he was replaced by Scott Pioli, who made his gambling on sports reputation as Bill Belichick right hand man with the New England Patriots.

Pioli immediately fired coach Herm Edwards and replaced him with Todd Haley, who was an assistant with the Arizona Cardinals and a significant contributor to their gambling on sports success last year.

After the front office changes, the next big gambling on sports impact for the Chiefs was the acquisition of quarterback Matt Cassel from the Patriots.  Cassel was effective last year in replacing Tom Brady who was injured in the opening game last year, ironically enough against the Chiefs.

Last year was especially valuable since Cassel played an entire season as the starter and threw for 3693 yards with a 21/11 TD/INT ratio as the Patriots barely missed the playoffs.  There is a lot of excitement in the air in Kansas City as the new look Chiefs may have an immediate impact and be a surprise value for 2009!
