Bet on hockey action on both teams has not gone well as of late as both have been in NHL wagering slumps. The Phoenix Coyotes were one of the surprise values to bet on hockey with for the first half of the season.
Phoenix was an “under the radar” NHL wagering commodity that rewarded those who bet on hockey with them by sneaking up on both their opponents and the odds makers. But since late January the Coyotes have gushed red ink against the hockey lines.
From January 27 through March 12 Phoenix destroyed the bankrolls of those who bet on hockey with them by earning just 4 payoffs in a total of 20 games. The problem with the Coyotes and those who bet on hockey with them is that they have become weak at both ends of the ice.
Phoenix ranked 29th overall on offense and 25th overall on defense. From February 24 through March 12 the Coyotes continued their bet on hockey slump with a mark of 1-7 and 6 of those 8 games went under the total.
The Anaheim Ducks are still in the bet on hockey playoff chase but are in a fight with 5 other teams for that 8th and final playoff spot in the western conference. Anaheim has been in a bad NHL wagering stretch as of late. From February 15 through March 11 the Ducks got payoffs for those who bet on hockey with them in just 4 out of 11 games.
Just 3 of those games in that same span went under the hockey lines. Anaheim has been below average on both ends of the ice as they ranked 19th overall on offense and 18th overall on defense. The Ducks do have some big name and highly productive assets to bet on hockey with.
Center Ryan Getzlaf led the team in scoring with 21 goals and 51 assists. Goaltender Jonas Hiller has been a pleasant surprise with a .918 save percentage and a 2.37 goals against average.
