NHL sports betting results have been down for Chicago this season after their Stanley Cup title last spring as they have not found a betting NHL solution for goaltender.

The Chicago Blackhawks will host the Nashville Predators on Sunday night with a start time of 7 PM ET and a telecast on NHLNET.  Open your account at Sports Gambling for side and total odds on this important Western Conference and Central Division matchup.

Chicago was 22-18-2-1 with the hockey gambling odds and was 13-11 at home with 9 of their 24 home games going over the total.  Chicago’s offense remained strong as it ranked 7th in the NHL but the defense has slipped badly from last year and ranked 19th for goals against.  The Blackhawks lost 4 of 6 games from December 28 through January 7 as they could not gain consistent success.

The offense was led by Patrick Sharp as the center had 24 goals and 18 assists.  Jonathan Toews was right behind with 16 goals and 19 assists.  Corey Crawford was coming on in a bid to become the number one goaltender with a 2.34 goals against average while Marty Turco continued to struggle with a 3.02 goals against average.

The Hawks were a poor 29th in the NHL for penalty killing while ranking 2nd on the power play.

Nashville had a record of 22-13-4-2 as they climbed into serious playoff contention in the Western Conference.  The Predators beat the hockey lines in 5 consecutive games from December 31 through January 8 and were a solid 13-9-1 on the road while going over the total in just 8 of their first 23 away games.

Chicago has paid out in 11 of their last 17 NHL sports betting meetings with Nashville.  Nashville has won 2 of the 3 previous meetings this season with 2 of those games going under the total.  Chicago has gotten the money in 10 of their last 14 home games against Nashville with just 2 of the last 12 meetings between the teams in the Windy City going over the total.

The Hawks scored a 4-1 home payout over the Predators in their last visit on December 22.
