The Detroit Red Wings have won the last three games of the series after losing the first three.  Now it is up for grabs in hockey betting in Game 7 on Thursday.

NHL playoffs odds at Sports Gambling slightly favor San Jose on Thursday because they are at home but plenty of bettors will be taking a shot with Detroit.  The Sharks have had their chances to win this series but the Red Wings keep coming back.  San Jose led in Game 5 but blew a 3-1 lead and they led 1-0 in Game 6 and blew that lead as well.

Henrik Zetterberg and Valtteri Filppula scored a couple minutes apart as Detroit rallied on Tuesday night to win 3-1 and force Game 7. The Red Wings scored three times in the final 10 minutes to shock San Jose.

Detroit is trying to become just the fourth team in NHL history to win a best-of-seven series after trailing 3-0.  They will have to win on the road but they have already proven they can do that as they won Game 5 in San Jose.

All but one of the games in this series has been a one-goal game vs. the hockey lines and Game 6 really was as well since the two goal margin only happened because of an empty net goal.  Earlier in the playoffs it was Chicago who rallied to tie their series against Vancouver after losing the first three games but the Blackhawks lost Game 7 in overtime.

Last year in hockey betting it was the Philadelphia Flyers who were down 3-0 but they came all the way back to win against the Boston Bruins. Now the Red Wings get their shot on Thursday.

San Jose will have to play better than they did on Tuesday night if they are to win on Thursday. The Sharks were outshot 32-13 in the first two periods and if not for goaltender Antti Niemi they would have been out of the game.  Even though Detroit has momentum they still are just 2-6 in the last 8 meetings in San Jose.

The game on Tuesday went under the total in NHL playoffs odds and that could happen again on Thursday. Five of the last seven San Jose home games have gone under the hockey betting odds.
