NHL playoffs type excitement will be felt in Calgary on Wednesday night as the Flames will take to their home ice needing a win to continue their quest towards the hockey playoffs.

The Calgary Flames will host the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night with a starting time set for 9:30 PM ET.  This Western Conference Showdown is between teams that are jockeying in and out of the 8th and final spot in the Western Conference for the post season so be sure and open your Sports Gambling account and have it ready for action on the side and total in this one.

Anaheim had a road record of 18-16-2-1 with the hockey betting odds and went under the total in 19 of their 37 away games.  The return of goaltender Jonas Hiller to the lineup after a 15 game absence was most welcome as he is a key to the Ducks playoff hopes.

Hiller had a 2.56 goals against average with 26 wins and 5 shutouts.  Corey Perry has had a phenomenal season for Anaheim as the right winger had 42 goals and 41 assists.

Calgary had a record of 37-28-4-7 with the hockey betting line and was 22-12-1-3 at home.  The Flames went under the total in just 15 of their 38 home games.  Calgary was imploding down the stretch with just 1 payout in 7 games from March 10 through March 23.

The Flames went over the total in 5 of their last 6 games in that span.  Calgary was an excellent offensive team that ranked 6th in the NHL for goal scoring but their defense was 19th for goals against.

Anaheim has had the better end of this series with 14 payouts in their last 20 games against the Flames.  The Ducks have covered the last 3 consecutive meetings in their series with the Flames.  This series has gone under the total in 8 of the last 12 matchups between these two teams.

The Calgary Flames were a +2500 choice to win the Stanley Cup at Sports-Gambling while the Anaheim Ducks were a +5000 bet to win the NHL playoffs.
