NHL playoffs anticipation is mounting at a rapid rate as well for the Philadelphia Flyers as they are coming off a 7 game win over the pesky Buffalo Sabres in the first round of the hockey playoffs.

The Philadelphia Flyers will host the Boston Bruins in game 1 of their best of seven Eastern Conference Semi Final series on Saturday with a starting time of 3 PM ET and a telecast on NBC.  Be to open your Sports Gambling account and have it ready for side and total action on this historic rematch from last year’s playoffs.

Last year Boston became the first team since 1975 to blow a 3-0 lead in a series as the Flyers rallied to win 4 consecutive games to rip it away from the Bruins as they went all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Boston was the 3 seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 46-25-5-6 with the hockey gambling odds and was 24-12-2-3 on the road.  The Bruins were one of the better balanced teams in the NHL as they ranked 5th in goal scoring and 2nd for goals against.

Goaltender Tim Thomas was in fine form for Boston in the first round of the playoffs as he had a 2.25 goals against average and came up clutch in game 7 versus Montreal as the pressure could not have been greater.  Center Chris Kelly had 3 goals in the series against the Canadiens.

Philadelphia was the 2 seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 47-23-5-7 with the hockey lines.  The Flyers had goaltending problems in the first round against Buffalo as they finally settled on Brian Boucher for game 7 and he came through with his 4th win of the post season by stopping 26 out of 28 shots.

Boston beat Philadelphia in 3 out of their 4 regular season meetings this year as 3 of the 4 games also went under the total.  Boston has had good success in Philadelphia as heading into this NHL playoffs series the Bruins lost just 6 out of 20 games at Philly with just 1 of the last 5 matchups between the teams went over the total on the Flyers home ice.
