NHL Wagering: Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Vancouver Canucks

NHL wagering will feature a matchup of two of the most opposite teams that you could bet on hockey with recently from Vancouver.

NHL wagering fortunes for Tampa have hit rock bottom while the Canucks have been red hot for those who bet on hockey with them.  For a while, the Tampa Bay Lightning were a surprisingly good NHL wagering value but their overall lack of talent and general ineptitude has finally caught up with them as they are one of the least appealing teams that you can bet on hockey with.

Tampa Bay had an overall NHL wagering record of 19-27-4-8 straight up and a break even 29-29 against the hockey lines.  Since January 29, however, the Lightning has been in a terrible NHL wagering stretch in which they got the cash in just 2 out of 10 games.

Tampa Bay has not been a very good NHL wagering commodity on the road as they won just 9 out of 28 games away from home.  The Lightning rank near the bottom of the NHL wagering statistical charts on both, offense and defense, ranking 26th at both.

The Vancouver Canucks, on the other hand, have been one of the best teams to bet on hockey with in February as they were on a NHL wagering run in which they got the cash in 7 out of 8 games.  Vancouver had an overall NHL wagering mark of 29-21-2-6 straight up and 31-27 against the hockey lines.

The major reason for the Canucks resurgence has been goaltender Roberto Luongo, who returned from injury to ignite the hot streak.  The Canucks were struggling on the NHL wagering boards without Luongo but his return has got them right back into the northwest division race.

Luongo had a goals against average of 2.59 and a save percentage of .914 and has proven himself to be the most valuable Canuck as the entire team picks up its play with him in the lineup.  Another pair of NHL wagering assets were Daniel and Henrik Sedin, who led the team in scoring.
