Hockey Bet: New York Islanders vs. Florida Panthers

Hockey bet handicappers have been pleasantly surprised by the Panthers while the Islanders are a shocking bet on hockey value!

Hockey bet Thursday with the Islanders and Panthers in a bet on hockey matchup from Miami.  As incredible as it may sound, especially with a straight up hockey bet record of 14-29-3-2, the New York Islanders have been one of the most profitable teams on the board so far this season as they went 30-18 against the hockey odds.

The reason for the Isles incredible hockey bet success is that they are a value-added team that gets a far better price than what they truly deserve in order to ensure that they attract hockey bet action and dollars their way.

The Islanders may not produce a lot of hockey bet wins but when they do the payoff is so enormous as prohibitive underdogs that they can make up for several losses.  The Islanders are also a strong bet on hockey over team with a mark of 28-18-2 over the total including a road record of 15-9-1 over the total.

Mark Streit has been one of the few hockey bet pluses for the Isles as he led the team in scoring with 37 points, and assists with 29.  Steady Bill Guerin led New York in goals with 14.  Joey MacDonald had a 3.27 goals against average but a respectable .900 save percentage.

The Florida Panthers had an overall hockey bet record of 23-17-2-6 straight up and were 27-21 against the hockey odds.  Florida was in second place in the southeast division.  The Panthers went on a nice hockey bet run from January 6 through January 29 in which they went 6-3.

Florida was a strong hockey bet under team at home with a mark of 8-14-1 under the total.  David Booth was a bet on hockey asset for the Panthers with 33 points and 20 goals to lead the team.

Craig Anderson was a strong hockey bet plus with a .930 save percentage and a 2.47 goals against average.  Florida’s defense ranked 8th overall in the league.
