Bet on Hockey: Phoenix Coyotes vs. Anaheim Ducks

Bet on hockey to wrap up the holidays January 4 with the Coyotes and Ducks in western conference hockey wagering action from Anaheim.

Bet on hockey surprises are the rule rather than the exception and this hockey wagering matchup illustrates that fact of life.  The Phoenix Coyotes may not be the most desirable team to bet on hockey with but they have enjoyed success against the hockey gambling lines.

Phoenix had an overall bet on hockey record of 17-14-3-2 straight up and 21-15 against the spread.  Phoenix has had bet on hockey value precisely because they are not the most popular team with the public and their straight up performance has exceeded expectations.

Phoenix had a road bet on hockey mark of 6-10-3-0 with an over under mark of 11-7-1 over the hockey wagering total when away from home.  Shane Doan has been a major bet on hockey asset for the Coyotes as he led the team in goals with 17, assists with 18, and overall points with 35.

Doan also led Phoenix in power play goals with 7 just for good measure.  Ilya Bryzgalov was having an excellent season in goal with a 2.72 GAA and save percentage of .913.  Coach Wayne Gretzky has been a hockey wagering plus as well keeping his team focused as bankruptcy rumors are flying about the franchise.

The Anaheim Ducks are not quite the dominant bet on hockey commodity that they have been in recent seasons past.  Anaheim had an overall record of 18-14-2-1 straight up and 17-18 against the hockey gambling lines.  The Ducks were ranked in the middle of the pack on both the offensive and defensive bet on hockey stat charts.

Anaheim’s top bet on hockey strength was Ryan Getzlaf who led the team in scoring with 39 points. Getzlaf led Anaheim in goals with 14 and assists with 25.  Jean-Sebastien Giguere was still solid in goal with a save percentage of .911 and a GAA of 2.92.

Backup goaltender Jonas Hiller had a save percentage of .931 and a GAA of 2.21.  The Ducks are still a contender to bet on hockey with for the western conference crown.
