NFL Football Gambling

NFL football betting with live football bets & odds. Football Betting bonuses up to 265% for NFL & Super Bowl betting.

The football betting pointspread is the way that the sportsbook tries to even out the betting action towards both sides. As an example, in the February 2008 Super Bowl, the NFL betting pointspread was New England -12.5 points.

Since New England was undefeated the football betting public was naturally gravitating their way so the pointspread was made rather large to entice an even amount of football bets the Giants way. New England would have had to have won the game by 13 or more points to cover the football betting spread.

The Giants won 17-14 to 'cover' the spread. Even if the Giants lost, they would have had to have lost by 13 points or MORE to lose the wager. For those who like to choose sides but don't like pointspread football bets there is the alternative of the money line.

Money line football betting is where you chose the straight up winner by laying or taking odds rather than points. Another highly popular form of football betting would be 'totals' also known as 'over/unders'.

In that aforementioned Super Bowl, the total posted on the board was 54.5, which meant that the combined score would have to exceed that number to go 'over'. The Giants 17-14 win combined for a total of 31, which went 'under' the total.

Types Of NFL Football Bets

A form of football betting that is exploding in popularity is 'halves'. This is where you can wager on the first or the second half of a game. Many gamblers love half time wagering as they can often get a bargain on the team that they originally wanted in comparison to the regular full game line.

'Futures' football betting is where you can wager on a team's odds to win the Super Bowl, their conference or even their division. You can also wager on the over/under for their total amount of wins for a season!

Proposition football gambling, known as 'props' is highly popular for the Super Bowl but other big games as well. You can wager on a player's total yards, scores, sacks, and countless other items. is your 50-yard line sky box for football action all year so be sure and join today!

Lions Look To NFC North Title, While Bears Look To Future

Sunday's game between the 10-4 Detroit Lions and 5-9 Chicago Bears features the Bears at a +9 at home but there's more to the game than that line. There is also a big sense of consideration for where the two teams are going as they have their own ideas on what they want to do this weekend.

For the Lions, they are tied with Green Bay for the top of the NFC North. Even with that record, there is no guarantee that a team with ten wins in the NFC will get a wild card spot with Philadelphia, Seattle and Dallas all in the running too.

Titans vs. Jaguars - What Draft Needs Will Be Exposed?

The NFL could not have gotten a worse game for its next Thursday night game as they will be getting the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans taking on one another. Both teams are 2-12 and could be in the running for the top pick in the NFL Draft.

The Jaguars are -3 favorites to win this game at home. Still, the big question is to see just where they and the Titans will end in the draft running and if either could get the top spot instead of Oakland or Tampa Bay.

Cowboys Almost Blow It in Win Over Eagles

The Dallas Cowboys took an early 21-0 lead on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles in a Sunday evening game to determine who would be the leader in the NFC East. The Eagles then took a 24-21 lead in the second half but the Cowboys would wind up holding on to the game as they ran off with a 38-27 victory. The Eagles had a -3.5 favorite line to them at Lincoln Financial Field and while they made an effort to come back, it was not enough.

Bills Stun Rodgers, Packers to Get Surprise Upset

The Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst games in his career while the Buffalo Bills kept their playoff hopes alive with a 21-13 victory. The Packers were -4.5 favorites on the road but failed to get their first win in their sixth try at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park.

Bengals Escape Trap Game Against Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had not gotten a win in five attempts at Raymond James Stadium heading into Sunday's game with Cincinnati. The Bengals were -6 favorites, thus suggesting that they were going to take over quickly. However, the Bucs almost pulled off the trap game upset as the Bengals could only muster a 14-13 victory.

Bills Crush Jets In Detroit

The Buffalo Bills were forced into a shorter period of training and a new venue for their recent game against the New York Jets. With much of Buffalo covered in snow and the roads being practically impossible to move around in, the Bills had to move their game by one day and play it at Ford Field in Detroit. 56,044 fans got free tickets to the game and the Bills did not seem to miss a beat at the least as they defeated the Jets 38-3.

Browns Win On the Last Minute Against Falcons

The Cleveland Browns are still staying competitive in the AFC Central as they beat the Atlanta Falcons 26-24. The Browns moved to 7-4 and are second to 7-3-1 Cincinnati in the division. Meanwhile, the Falcons fell to 4-7 but were half a game behind New Orleans in the NFC South as of the period before the Saints' Monday night game.

Cowboys Hold Off Giants In Spectacular Fashion

While Odell Beckham Jr. had one of the most impressive touchdown catches in recent memory during the New York Giants' game against the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday night, his effort was not good enough as the Cowboys won the game 31-28.

Beckham's impressive catch where he used the tips of his fingers to barely catch the ball while in bounds for a touchdown was the second touchdown reception that he had in the game. He had one in the first with his highlight reel catch coming at the start of the second through a 43-yard pass from Eli Manning.

Bills Favored Over Jets in Detroit

The extreme snow conditions have made it to where Buffalo's Ralph Wilson Stadium cannot be made ready for Sunday's game between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets. The Bills haven't even been able to practice this week. To make things worse, the situation in Buffalo could get to where their November 30 home game against Cleveland might have to be moved as well.

Texans Favorites Over Bengals With Close Odds

The NFL oddsmakers have pegged this weekend's match between the 5-5 Houston Texans and the 6-3-1 Cincinnati Bengals as the closest game of the year. The Texans have a -1.5 advantage at home at NRG Stadium while the over/under is at just 43.5.
