Titans vs. Jaguars - What Draft Needs Will Be Exposed?

The NFL could not have gotten a worse game for its next Thursday night game as they will be getting the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans taking on one another. Both teams are 2-12 and could be in the running for the top pick in the NFL Draft.

The Jaguars are -3 favorites to win this game at home. Still, the big question is to see just where they and the Titans will end in the draft running and if either could get the top spot instead of Oakland or Tampa Bay.

The best way to see this game is that it could be interpreted as a review of just what the two sides need to get in the draft. A big question would entail whether or not Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston could be the future for either team at quarterback. The Titans have bounced between quarterbacks with Charlie Whitehurst being the latest option. Whitehurst has only five touchdowns versus two interceptions this year.

As for the Jaguars, Blake Bortles' rookie season has been a real struggle. He has ten interceptions versus 17 interceptions and has been sacked 46 times. While this is only his rookie season, the team may consider reviewing his options. Alabama receiver Amari Cooper is an appealing option for the draft as is Notre Dame offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley.

The Titans' running game might need to be reviewed as well. Bishop Sankey has only 507 yards this year. Meanwhile, the Titans have given up nearly two thousand rushing yards this year. Still, there are not many good options for the running back position in the draft outside of Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon.

The Jaguars are not any better on the run either. Denard Robinson has 582 yards while Bortles has 308 yards. In addition, the Jags have given up more than 1,800 yards on the ground this year.

The Titans and Jaguars both need a great deal of help in the offseason. This Thursday night game could be used as a means of reviewing just what help these two teams need for the next season and beyond above all else.
