Super Bowl Gambling - Saints Keys to Success

Super Bowl gambling opened with the New Orleans Saints as 5-point dogs with the Super Bowl odds in their matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Super Bowl gambling handicappers are fully aware, however, that the Saints bring plenty of weapons and assets to the table with the Super Bowl odds. One of the keys to Super Bowl gambling success for the Saints will be their ability to apply pressure on both offense and defense against the Colts.

In order for New Orleans to succeed with the Super Bowl odds they will have to score early and often and find a way to keep Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning rattled.  The Saints defense is their Super Bowl betting weakness and points will be at a premium.

One of the reasons that the Saints are on the Super Bowl gambling board is that they applied plenty of pressure on Minnesota Viking quarterback Brett Favre in the NFC Championship Game.  The Saints battered and punished Favre throughout the day and will need to do that and more to Manning in order to have Super Bowl gambling success.

One Super Bowl gambling area in which the Saints matchup relatively well with the Colts is with their run defense.  The Colts are not an effective rushing team on offense so that will relieve some of the pressure on the Saints defense and allow them to put their Super Bowl gambling focus on stopping the pass.

The Saints also proved in the NFC Championship Game that they have the ability to force mistakes.  Minnesota blew a Super Bowl gambling berth with six turnovers at New Orleans and the Saints will likely have to win the turnover battle with the Colts on Super Sunday.

The Saints were the top scoring team in the NFL but their defense ranked 20th in points allowed.  If the defense can tighten up just enough and quarterback Drew Brees can have a monster game the Saints may bring home the Super Bowl gambling cash.

The Saints have gotten the money in just 3 out of their last 12 games heading into the Super Bowl after covering their first 6 games.  They failed to cover their only game as a dog this year.
