NFL sports gambling this season has been a disaster this year on Dallas. The Cowboys have a 1-5 record and not much has gone right. It got worse last week when quarterback Tony Romo was knocked out of the game vs. the Giants.
Romo is out for at least the next six weeks and possible for the season. Dallas will have to count on backup Jon Kitna if they are to save their season.
The Jaguars have not played well in recent weeks but they are getting starting quarterback David Garrard back this week. He missed last week’s game with a concussion and the Jaguars suffered as they were blown out by the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Jaguars will need more offense to keep up with the Cowboys in this game. Jacksonville’s defense has been horrible lately and last week they gave up 426 yards in the loss to Kansas City.
This will be the fifth-ever meeting in NFL betting between the Jaguars and Cowboys and the first since 2006. The teams have split the first four meetings with each game in pro football gambling decided by seven points or less.
Here is a look at some of the betting trends for Sunday’s game. Jacksonville has been one of the worst values on the board in NFL gambling over the past two seasons as they have paid out in just 4 of their last 19 games overall.
Dallas has paid out in NFL sports gambling in 12 of their last 16 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game. Jacksonville has gone over the total in 8 of their last 11 games that follow a straight up loss.
Dallas has gone under the total in 50 of their last 74 games versus teams with a losing record. The favorite has failed to beat the pro football gambling number in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
