Odds NFL bettors have never seen Houston in the football gambling post season but that is expected to change this year as the Texans are considered a true up and coming team. Quarterback Matt Schaub leads the Houston Texans this year against the odds NFL.
Schaub, a 6 year pro out of Virginia, had a solid 2008 football gambling performance as he finished with 3043 yards passing and a 92.7 quarterback rating with 15 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions even as he missed weeks 10-13 against the odds NFL.
It was Schaub’s best season ever against the odds NFL as he has thrived in 2 years with the Texans after starting off his career with the Atlanta Falcons. Number two on the quarterback depth chart is Dan Orlovsky, a 5 year pro out of Connecticut.
Orlovsky had the unfortunate experience of playing on the 0-16 Detroit Lions against the odds NFL last season and finished with a 73 quarterback rating as he passed for 1616 yards with an 8/8 touchdown/interception ratio. Orlovsky figures to get a lot of snaps against the odds NFL in preseason.
An interesting acquisition is currently third on the Texans depth chart against the odds NFL. Rex Grossman, who made his fame with the Chicago Bears, will get plenty of opportunity to move up the depth chart for Houston this preseason against the odds NFL.
Grossman is a 7 year pro out of Florida who has had an erratic and controversial career. His career quarterback rating is just 70 and he has a lifetime 33/35 touchdown/interception ratio. Andre Johnson was a very busy man as a wide receiver for Houston last year as he caught 115 passes for 1575 yards and 8 touchdowns.
He is a 7 year pro out of Miami-FL. Steve Slaton offers plenty of help in the backfield. The 2 year pro out of West Virginia ran for 1282 yards and 9 touchdowns last year while also catching 50 passes for another score.
