Odds NFL handicappers will see a lot of familiar veteran names on the Colts football gambling roster. The Colts are again expected to contend for post season honors this year. Peyton Manning is the main Colt. The 12 year veteran quarterback out of Tennessee is coming off another fine season against the odds NFL as the threw for 4002 yards, 27 touchdowns, and just 12 interceptions for a quarterback rating of 95, which happens to be his career football gambling quarterback rating.
Manning has thrown for over 4000 yards against the odds NFL in all but 2 of his seasons as the Colts starting quarterback. He hasn’t missed a start in his career. Manning will not see a lot of action against the odds NFL in preseason however as backup quarterback Jim Sorgi should be getting a good amount of exhibition snaps.
Sorgi is a 6 year pro out of Wisconsin with a solid career quarterback rating of 90 against the odds NFL and a 6/1 touchdown/interception ratio. Curtis Painter, a rookie out of Purdue that was drafted in the 6th round by the Colts, will also get a good amount of preseason playing time against the odds NFL.
The Colts have to address their anemic rushing attack against the odds NFL last year during the upcoming preseason. As a team they had a poor 3 yards per carry average against the odds NFL and that has to improve in order to take the heat off of Manning.
Joseph Addai, a 4 year pro out of LSU that was a number one draft pick of the Colts in 2006, ran for 544 yards and a 3.5 yards per carry average with 5 touchdowns to lead the team.
The Colts suffered a drop in explosiveness at wide receiver as Reggie Wayne; a 9 year pro out of Miami-FL led the team in receiving with 82 catches and 6 touchdowns but a rather unremarkable 14 yards per catch average.
