NFL odds results have been up and down with the Miami Dolphins although they are still very much in the AFC playoff race with the NFL lines.

The Miami Dolphins will host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday with a kickoff time of 1 PM ET and a telecast on CBS.  Sports-Gambling opened with Miami as a 4.5 point favorite with a total of 43.

The Cleveland Browns have a record of 4-7 both straight up and with the NFL gambling odds and have gone over the total in 8 of 11 games.  The Browns are coming off a 24-23 home win over Carolina while failing to cover as 9 point chalks.

Cleveland has posted straight up wins this year at New Orleans and at home against New England to prove that they can be a dangerous opponent against the best in the NFL.  The Browns in fact have won 3 of their last 5 games while going over the total 6 straight games.

Peyton Hillis ran for 131 yards and 3 TD’s in the win over Carolina as Jake Delhomme returned as starting QB and passed for 245 yards.  Hillis has been one of the key assets for Cleveland on offense as he has 905 yards rushing.  Cleveland’s defense has shown marked improvement and ranks 12th for points allowed.

The Miami Dolphins have a record of 6-5 straight up and 7-4 with the NFL betting lines. Miami has gone under the total in 6 of their 11 games.  Miami has had something of a bizarre season in that they have gotten their best results away from home with 5 payouts in 6 road games compared to a 2-3 mark against the spread at home.

The Dolphins are coming off one of their most impressive wins of the season last week in a 33-17 payout at Oakland.  Chad Henne has returned as starting quarterback and is looking to jumpstart a unit that ranks 29th in the NFL for scoring.  He passed for 307 yards and 2 TD’s at Oakland last week.

Defense has been the key asset for Miami with the NFL odds as they rank 4th overall in the NFL.  Ronnie Brown continues to be a key part of the offense with 539 yards rushing.
