NFL gambling odds handicappers continue to be impressed with the New York Jets as they are a leading favorite with the NFL gambling lines to make the Super Bowl.

The New York Jets will host the Green Bay Packers in a potential Super Bowl preview on Sunday with a kickoff set for 1:05 PM Eastern.  Sports-Gambling opened with the Jets as a 6 point home favorite and with an over/under of 42.  FOX will telecast the action.

Green Bay has a NFL football betting record of 4-3 straight up and 3-4 against the spread after their28-24 home payout over Minnesota on Sunday Night Football.  The victory snapped a 1-3 stretch and put the Packers in a first place tie in the NFC North with Chicago.

The Pack has gone under the total in 5 out of 7 games this year.  The Green Bay ground attack remains a concern as they rank 20th in the NFL while the defense has been solid overall and ranks 11th.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has slipped somewhat and ranks 12th in the NFL for QB rating but has to carry more of the burden due to the lack of a consistent ground game.

The preseason swagger of the New York Jets looks to be well justified as the Jets have a betting on NFL football record of 5-1 both straight up and against the spread with 5 of their games going over the total.

New York ranks 2nd in rushing and 4th in scoring while also ranking 4th in points allowed.  Running back LaDainian Tomlinson has proven to be a great pickup and he has 490 yards while quarterback Mark Sanchez has cut down on his rookie mistakes from last year.

Green Bay has beaten the NFL gambling odds in 15 out of their last 20 games as an underdog.  The Jets have paid out in 7 of their last 8 games that follow a bye week.  The Pack has soared over the total in 25 of their last 35 games that follow a payout while the Jets have gone over the total in 9 of their last 11 games that follow a bye week.
