NFL gambling expectations are far lower for the rebuilding Buffalo Bills as they generated little offense in their football gambling home loss to Miami last week.
The Packers will host the Bills on Sunday and opened at Sports-Gambling as a 13.5–point favorite with an over/under of 43. Kickoff is set for 1:05 PM Eastern Time.
Green Bay beat the NFL odds last week in a 27-20 win at Philadelphia as 3-point favorites as the game snuck under the total of 47.5. The normally explosive Packers and their offense were solid but it was their physical play and defense that impressed head coach Mike McCarthy.
“It was a gutty performance by our team,” said McCarthy. “We are fortunate and pleased to win.” Quarterback Aaron Rodgers had 188 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. The Packers were actually outgained 321-299.
Buffalo was a NFL bet loser last week as the Miami Dolphins beat them 15-10. The Bills were 3-point dogs and the game went under the total. The result was an undeniable letdown as head coach Chan Gailey made his debut for the Bills with the reputation for being an offensive guru that would jump start the attack.
Quarterback Trent Edwards, however, refused to be discouraged. “It’s only week 1,” said Edwards. “I know you guys are trying to find a way to bring it back to last year. Last year doesn’t cross my mind and we’re on to a new year.” The Bills totaled just 166 yards in the loss.
Green bay has covered just 1 out of their last 7 NFL gambling matchups against the Bills. The two teams last met in 2006 with Buffalo winning 24-10. The series has gone over the total in 4 out of the last 6 meetings. Buffalo has covered just 2 out of their last 8 games as a dog and has gone under the total in 8 out of their last 10 games as a pup.
The Bills have gotten the money in 8 out of their last 10 games on the road. Green Bay has paid out on 6 out of their last 8 games at home. The Pack has covered 5 out of their last 6 as a favorite.
