NFL football gambling handicappers know it is a mistake to write off the Colts as a betting on NFL football contender as they seem to find a way to win each year.

NFL football gambling expectations were once again beaten by the Colts as they shook off a mid season betting on NFL football slump to end up in prime position for the playoffs.

The Indianapolis Colts will host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday with a telecast on CBS set to start at 1:05 PM ET.  Sports-Gambling opened with Indianapolis as an 8.5 point favorite and with a total of 47.5.

It has been the season from hell for the Tennessee Titans has they have fallen short again with the football odds this season and will fail to make the playoffs for the second consecutive year after being the top seed in the AFC in 2008.  Tennessee has a record of 6-9 straight up and 7-8 against the spread with 9 of their games going over the total.

Tennessee started off the season 5-2 and looking like the team to beat in the AFC South but they have since imploded as coach Jeff Fisher and injured quarterback Vince Young are no longer talking and Fisher may be on his way out after 16 years as coach.  Kerry Collins has been terrible in Young’s place and has reminded everyone why he lost the job to Young last season.

Collins has a 77.4 QB rating compared to 98.6 for Young.  Curtis Johnson has rushed for 1325 yards and 11 TD’s.  The defense has slipped to 26th overall in the NFL.

Indianapolis has a record of 9-6 straight up and 8-6-1 with the odds NFL while going under the total just 4 times this season.  The Colts are on a 3 game winning streak and are coming off a 31-26 payout at Oakland.  The Colts must win this game to clinch the AFC South over Jacksonville.

After a November slump Peyton Manning has regained form as a premier NFL football gambling asset and has a 91.3 QB rating with a 31/17 TD/INT ratio and 4436 yards passing.  Reggie Wayne has 1287 yards receiving and 5 TD’s.  The Colts rank 30th in rushing and 23rd for points allowed on defense as Manning once again has had to carry the team.
