NFL football gambling has just 2 more regular season weeks to go and both the Seahawks and Bucs are in the post season chase but cannot afford another NFL betting setback the rest of the way.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the Seattle Seahawks in a must win NFC matchup for both teams that will be telecast on FOX with a start time of 4:15 PM ET.  Sports Gambling opened with Tampa Bay as a 6 point favorite and with a total of 42.5.

Seattle is 6-8 both straight up and with the football betting lines and has gone over the total 10 times.  Seattle is tied with St. Louis in the NFC West Division but has lost 4 of their last 5 games including 2 straight and is coming off a 34-18 home loss to Atlanta as they went over the total for the 7th consecutive week.

Coach Pete Carroll is running out of answers as his team ranks 29th for total defense and 27th for total offense and seemingly is incapable of turning the tide.  Matt Hasselbeck has not been effective at quarterback but Charlie Whitehurst hasn’t played well enough to win the starting job either.

Seattle is simply fortunate to be playing in the NFC “Worst” and Carroll is learning that this is a bad team and a rebuilding job that is bigger than he expected.  His best USC teams could likely have a shot against this rag tag crew.

Tampa Bay is 8-6 straight up and 8-5-1 with the NFL betting odds and has gone over the total just 6 times.  The Bucs still are in the mix for a wild card playoff spot in the NFC but must win out to have a shot.  Tampa Bay is coming off a 23-20 home loss to Detroit that could prove to be very costly and has slow down with 3 losses in their last 4 games overall.

Seattle has paid out in 4 of their last 5 NFL football gambling matchups with Tampa Bay and the series has gone under the total in 7 consecutive meetings.  The Seahawks came away with the cash in their last 4 visits to Tampa Bay.
