NFL football gambling fans have seen both teams split their first 2 games of the 2010 season while sending out mixed signals to those betting on NFL football action.

Kickoff from Jacksonville on Sunday is at 4:10 PM Eastern and Sports-Gambling opened with Philadelphia as a 3-point favorite and a total of 44.5.  The game will be on FOX.

The Philadelphia Eagles have a full blown quarterback controversy on their hands whether they want to admit it or not after their 35-32 win over the Detroit Lions last week as 6.5-point road favorites with the NFL lines.  The Eagles are yet to payout and are 1-1 on over/unders.

Michael Vick, playing in place of the injured Kevin Kolb, was outstanding at quarterback for Philadelphia as he went 21-34 for 284 yards passing with 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions.  Running back LeSean McCoy ran for 120 yards on 16 carries for 3 TD’s while also catching 4 passes for 135 yards and a score.

Vick led a highly impressive touchdown drive at the end of the first half has he took the Eagles 89 yards in 59 seconds with a 9 yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin.  Defense remains a concern for the new-look and much younger Eagles as they rank 31st in the league for points allowed.

After an encouraging 24-17 home win in their season opener against Denver the Jacksonville Jaguars were blown out by the San Diego Chargers last week 38-13 as 7-point road dogs with the NFL gambling odds. The Jags have gone over the total in both of their games.

Jacksonville had 6 turnovers and was outgained 477-350.  Quarterback David Gerrard finished 15-23 for 173 yards and 4 interceptions as he and head coach Jack Del Rio forfeited whatever credibility they gained last week with fans and gamblers in a truly dreadful performance.  Jacksonville ranks 29th in points allowed and in total defense.

Jacksonville has covered 3 consecutive games against Philadelphia with the last NFL football gambling matchup between the two teams in 2006.

The Eagles have failed to cover their last 3 consecutive road games while Jacksonville has gotten the money in just 4 out of their last 17 home games with 4 out of their last 5 games as a host going under the total.
