NFL football gambling results were much better last week for Oakland while Arizona was terrible in their betting on NFL football loss at Atlanta last week.

The Arizona Cardinals will host the Oakland Raiders in their home opener on Sunday.  Kickoff on CBS is at 4:20 PM Eastern and Sports-Gambling opened with Arizona as a 4-point favorite and a total of 40.

The Oakland Raiders are coming off a 16-14 home win over the St. Louis Rams last week although they failed to cover as 3-point home favorites.  Oakland is now 0-2 with the NFL lines this year.

Backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski came off the bench to replace an ineffective Jason Campbell and led the Raiders to three 2nd half scoring drives.

Campbell was acquired in the offseason from Washington to be the Raiders starter but head coach Tom Cable did not want to start the season 0-2 so he brought a quick hook in order to jumpstart the team.

Oakland finished with 404 total yards and had nearly 37 minutes in time of possession.  Gradkowski finished with 162 yards and 1 touchdown as the Oakland Coliseum rained down chants of “Bruuuce” throughout the 2nd half.

The Arizona Cardinals laid a stink bomb last week in their 41-7 blowout loss to the Falcons as 7-point road dogs with the NFL gambling odds.  The Cardinals were humiliated by a 3rd string running back, Atlanta’s Jason Snelling, who had 129 yards rushing.

Derek Anderson had a poor 2nd game as the Cardinals starting quarterback as he went 17-31 for 161 yards with 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.  One bright spot was Timothy Hightower, who had 115 yards rushing and a score.

The last NFL football gambling matchup between these two teams was in 2006 when Oakland scored a 22-9 home win and payout.  Arizona has been a solid 65% play at home with a mark of 13-7 against the spread and with 4 payouts in their last 5 games as a host.  Arizona has gone under the total in 6 out of their last 8 home games.

The Cardinals have covered just 2 out of their last 6 games as a chalk with 5 of those games going under the total.
