NFL Football Gambling - Cowboys at Giants

NFL football gambling expectations have been nuked for the Cowboys as they have been exposed as a fraud instead of a true betting on NFL football contender.

NFL football gambling respect continues to grow for the New York Giants as they are now a top betting on NFL football favorite to win the NFC title.

The New York Giants will host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday with a FOX telecast set to kickoff at 4:20 PM ET.  Sports-Gambling opened with the Giants as a 14 point home favorite.

The Wade Phillips era came to a merciful end at Dallas this week as he was fired as head coach after the Cowboys laid down and died at Green Bay on NBC Sunday Night Football in a 45-7 loss.  The Cowboys now have a NFL betting record of 1-7 straight up and against the spread with 6 of their games going over the total.

Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has taken over as interim head coach.  The Cowboys have big problems starting with the fact that quarterback Tony Romo is out with a shoulder injury until mid December.  Backup Jon Kitna has been horrible as the fill in and the ground game cannot bail him out as it ranks 31st.

The defense is next to last in points allowed.  Until owner Jerry Jones hires a real football man in the mold of Bill Parcells or Jimmy Johnson rather than a sock puppet yes man it is unlikely that Dallas will ever win big.

The New York Giants have a NFL gambling record of 6-2 straight up and 5-3 against the spread with 5 of their games going over the total.  The Giants lead the NFC East and have roared back to prominence after a poor 2009 season in which their defense was one of the worst in the NFL.

New defensive coordinator Perry Fewell has completely turned around the unit as Big Blue ranks number one in the NFL for total defense.  The offense ranks 2nd in the NFL and is in the top 10 of all major categories.  The Giants destroyed Seattle last week 41-7 as 7 point road favorites for their 5th consecutive win.

Dallas has gotten the money in just 1 of their last 6 NFL football gambling matchups at the Giants as the series has gone over the total in 4 of the last 5 meetings.
