NFL betting odds fortunes have seen a dramatic reversal however as the Eagles are playoff bound while the Cowboys are a last place team with the NFL betting lines.

The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday with a start time on FOX television of 1:05 PM ET.  Sports-Gambling will have the odds for both the side and total on this game so be sure and open your account today.  In the previous meeting this year between the teams at Dallas, Philadelphia scored a 30-17 win but failed to cover as 3.5 point chalks on December 12.

Dallas has a football betting record of 5-10 straight up and 6-9 against the spread with 13 of their games going over the total.   The Cowboys are coming off a 27-26 loss at lowly Arizona on Christmas night as they blew a 4th quarter extra point which enraged owner Jerry Jones while also serving to endanger Jason Garrett’s chances at getting the full time head coaching gig.

The Cowboys have improved their play under Garrett as they have gone 4-3 straight up and 5-2 against the spread.  Dallas has wasted a solid offensive effort this season in which they rank 6th overall for offensive scoring but their defense has fallen to a horrible 31st (next to last) for points allowed.

Jon Kitna, who has improved his play under Garrett at quarterback in filling in for Tony Romo, is questionable for this one with a hip injury.  Kitna has a nice 88.9 QB rating and Stephen McGee will get the call if Kitna cannot answer the bell.

Philadelphia blew a shot for home field and a bye after their 24-14 football gambling upset loss to Minnesota on Tuesday as 14 point chalks.  The Eagles now have a record of 10-5 straight up and 7-8 with the NFL betting odds as 10 of their games have gone over the total.  Philadelphia ranks 2nd in the NFL for offensive scoring but the defense is wearing down and ranks 22nd for points allowed.

QB Michael Vick is questionable for this one with a quadricep injury and it is also questionable just how much effort the Eagles will put into this game with the playoffs next week and no real advantage to playing hard and winning in this one.
