NFL Gambling on Eagles at Jets

NFL gambling will include the preseason finale of two teams that are making their fair share of preseason news against the NFL lines as the Jets host the Eagles.

NFL gambling fans have seen the Eagles sign Michael Vick and give him some preseason snaps against the NFL lines while the Jets have named their top draft pick as starting QB. The Philadelphia Eagles are 1-2 straight up and 0-3 against the NFL gambling board in preseason action.

All 3 of Philadelphia’s exhibition games have gone over the NFL lines total.  Last week the Eagles beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 33-32 but failed to get the cash as 7.5-point home chalks.

The New York Jets are 1-2 straight up but 2-1 against the spread in the NFL gambling preseason as all 3 of their exhibition games have also gone over the total.  Last week the Jets beat the New York Giants as 3.5-point road dogs.  The big NFL gambling news out of Philadelphia last week was that Michael Vick saw action at quarterback.

Vick went 4-4 for 19 yards passing and had 1 carry for 1 yard.  AJ Feeley has been the best Eagle quarterback in the NFL gambling preseason as he had a quarterback rating of 106.9 and a 77.3 completion percentage.  Starter Donovan McNabb had an 85.7 quarterback rating.

Mizzou rookie Jeremy Maclin had 10 catches for 123 yards.  While Philadelphia ranks 4th in the preseason NFL gambling stat charts for scoring and 2nd in total yards they rank 30th overall for rushing and that is a cause for concern.

The big NFL gambling news from the Jets camp is that number one draft pick Mark Sanchez was named starting quarterback for the regular season. Sanchez has a nice 95.8 quarterback rating for the NFL gambling preseason.  Eric Ainge has also looked solid with a 105.6 QB rating.

The Jets defense has been inconsistent as it ranks 29th in points allowed and 27th in rushing yards allowed but a respectable 7th overall in passing yards allowed this preseason.  Leon Washington has been impressive with 19 carries and 119 yards for a 6.3 yards per carry average.  He is a 4-year pro out of Florida State.
