NFL gambling fans were equally amazed at the ineptitude of the Washington Redskins as they were humiliated with a 6-14 loss to the NFL lines versus hapless Kansas City. The Eagles and Redskins will provide the Monday night NFL gambling matchup and it’s a good thing they will have an extra day to prepare for this one after those stink bombs they let off with the NFL lines last week.
It’s ironic that this NFC East Division matchup is between teams that are each coming off losses to the two worst teams in the AFC West. The Philadelphia Eagles have a NFL gambling record of 3-2 both straight up and against the spread. They have gone over the NFL gambling total in 4 out of 5 games so far.
In their loss at Oakland the Eagles allowed quarterback Donovan McNabb to be sacked a total of 6 times as he went just 22-46 for 269 yards passing. The Eagles now rank 6th in NFL gambling for points scored and 16th for points allowed. McNabb vowed the Eagles are better than they showed at Oakland.
“I’m embarrassed by the way we came out here and played; we’re a better team than that”, said the Eagle QB. The Washington Redskins now have a NFL gambling record of 2-4 straight up and 1-4-1 against the spread. They have gone under the NFL gambling total in 5 out of 6 games.
Washington’s offense ranks 29th in NFL gambling for points scored, which has wasted the solid performance of their defense that ranks 5th in points allowed. Head coach Jim Zorn has been under intense fire and was stripped of his play calling duties following the debacle to KC.
Zorn took the blame for the lack of production. “This offense is better than six points, 100 percent”, said Zorn. “It’s my fault. I‘ve got to be better”. Zorn benched quarterback Jason Campbell for Todd Collins in the 2nd half against the Chiefs but the results were minimal. This starter for this game against the Eagles is not yet known.
