NFL gambling fans will also see a new quarterback for Tampa Bay against the NFL lines as veteran Jeff Garcia has departed for the Oakland Raiders. This will make for a most interesting NFL gambling preseason with the Bucs, who have plenty to do against the NFL lines this exhibition season starting with the sorting out of their quarterbacks.
Byron Leftwich is currently listed as the number one quarterback on the Bucs NFL gambling depth chart. Leftwich is a 7 year pro out of Marshall that was originally a number one draft pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
His NFL gambling career has never really panned out and he went to the Falcons in 2007 before arriving at Pittsburgh to pick up a super bowl ring as a backup last year. Leftwich has a career NFL gambling quarterback rating of 80 with 54 touchdown passes and 38 interceptions.
Josh Freeman, Tampa Bay’s number one draft pick this year out of Kansas State, should see plenty of action in the NFL gambling preseason. Freeman was talented but inconsistent as a college player and he will need a lot of snaps in the exhibition season. Luke McCown is currently third on the Bucs NFL gambling quarterback depth chart.
He is a 6 year pro out of Louisiana Tech that joined the Bucs in 2007 after starting his career with the Cleveland Browns. McCown has a career NFL gambling quarterback rating of 75 with 9 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions.
An interesting addition to watch this preseason is tight end Kellen Winslow, a 6 year pro out of Miami-FL. Winslow has failed to live up to the hype of when he was drafted number one by the Cleveland Browns in 2004, (and 6th overall).
His career has not been a bust but it has been very average and injury prone. He hopes a new team will give him a clean slate for a new career.
