NFL Gambling - As the World of Favre Turns at Sports Gambling

NFL gambling fans have a “Here we go again” scenario brewing in the never ending dramatic episode that is Brett Favre and his status for the upcoming season.

NFL gambling fans are seeing a repeat of last year when Favre retired, only to have second thoughts, and dominate the NFL off season sports gambling news about his status.

Right now the hot NFL gambling rumor is that Favre would end up with the Minnesota Vikings, which would make for countless sports gambling intangibles, the most important being that Favre would be competing in the same NFL gambling division with his old Green Bay Packer team as he would be attempting to get revenge against the front office and coaching staff they he believes to have disrespected him at the end of his career there.

Favre was being inspected by doctors regarding his shoulder and arm.  If he can get by without surgery he would likely make the NFL gambling season as the Vikings’ quarterback.  If surgery is required, (at last report it doesn’t appear to be necessary), then Favre would stay retired and out of NFL gambling action.

Last year Tarvaris Jackson ended up as the Viking starting quarterback that rallied them in the final month of the NFL gambling season and into the playoffs where they lost at home to Philadelphia.

Jackson was erratic and played only half the NFL gambling season as he ended up with a 95.4 quarterback rating and a 9/2 touchdown/interception ratio.  Speaking of erratic, there may have been no more erratic player in NFL gambling last year than Favre with the New York Jets.

Favre led the Jets to an 8-3 start climaxed with a win at undefeated Tennessee.  From there, however, it was all downhill as the Jets lost 4 out of their final 5 games to blow the playoffs that had seemed so certain and Favre was a big part of the blame.  Favre giveth with 22 touchdown passes and Favre taketh with 22 interceptions.

His teammates felt he was aloof and didn’t study or work hard enough.  He finished with an 81.0 QB rating.  But playing in the same division as the Packers will likely motivate Favre to prepare better.  The only question is his health.
