NFL Betting - Seahawks at Colts

NFL betting includes an inter-conference game between a team fighting for its life against an undefeated NFL gambling commodity that has looked great.

NFL betting fans are concerned that Seattle is slipping back into its losing ways of last year while Indianapolis has quieted NFL gambling skeptics so far. The Seattle Seahawks have a NFL betting record of 1-2 both straight up and against the NFL gambling line. The Seahawks have gone under the total in 2 out of 3 games.

After an impressive 28-0 opening day win and NFL betting cover against the St. Louis Rams the Seahawks have lost their last 2 games including last week’s 19-25 home loss to the Chicago Bears as 1-point NFL betting home dogs.  The Bears hit on a 36 yard touchdown pass with 2 minutes remaining to get the win.

The NFL betting common denominator is quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.  He has been injured the last 2 games and its obvious that when he is out the Seahawks are simply not as effective as his injury last year was the main reason for their nightmare of a season.

Another problem has been the kicking of Olindo Mare, who missed 2 critical field goals from 43 and 34 yards last week and is under intense fire from head coach Jim Mora, Jr.  Seattle ranks just 23rd overall in scoring so far but their defense has been strong as it ranks 5th in points allowed.

The Indianapolis Colts are 3-0 straight up and 2-1 against the NFL betting line.  Indy has gone under the total in 2 out of 3 games to start the season.  Last week the Colts hammered the defending NFC champion Arizona Cardinals 31-10 as 3-point road dogs.

Quarterback Peyton Manning has been lights out so far this NFL betting season as he has an eye popping quarterback rating of 117.7 with 69% completions, 7 touchdown passes, and just 2 interceptions.

The Colts defense looks significantly improved this NFL betting season as it ranks 3rd in points allowed and was highly effective at shutting down the Cardinals high flying attack.  Seattle has failed to cover 8 out of their last 12 games on the road and has gone under the total in 8 out of their last 12 games.

The Colts have covered the spread in just 3 out of their last 11 home games and have gone under the total in 5 of their last 7 home games.  The Colts have gotten the cash in 4 out of their last 6 meetings with Seattle.
